Sat Oct 20 – Alllllll abooooooooooooooooooard The South London Soul Train Express. Another multi-level mission to ‘Good Time Town’ via ‘Lift Foot and Get Down City’. Your guest hosts WAH WAH 45 Head Honcho DOM SERVINI and SCRIMSHIRE joined on LEVEL 1 by blistering Brass Hop Band, The Mighty AFRO CLUSTER [Live] + so much more across 4 floors at The CLF Art Cafe.
LEVEL 1 – AFRO CLUSTER (LIVE) – Afro Cluster are a Cardiff based band citing Fela Kuti, Snarky Puppy, Ozomatli, The Roots & Talking Heads amongst their influences. Together with front man MC Skunkadelic, they meld authentic sounds and rhythms of afro-funk and hip-hop with impassioned, politically conscious lyrics atop bold melodies, afro-beat aural acrobatics, rich harmonies and complex rhythms + we truly can’t to once again witness the audio carnage on The SLST live Stage.
Then on LEVEL 2 Expect the FUNK, The whole FUNK and nothing but the FUNK as Legendary 45 DJ SNOWBOY and compiler of choice, the Mighty DEAN RUDLAND load the turntables and let loose with an all night barrage of hand picked dance floor classics and rare vinyl nastiness all night long.
LEVEL 3 – S’all about Mukatsuku Records Founder, NIK WESTON & DJ partner and audio partner in riddim & rhyme DJ HUW 72 – Promising another night of blistering eclectic, globalistic groove. Bringing tha audio love and vinyl pressure. Beliiieve!
The SLST 4 floor line up completed in the RYE WAX BASEMENT by champion turnatablist’s THE SCRATCH PERVERTS Here to deliver a smorgasbord of palatable soul joints from the flip and love side. Funk to Soul, Disco to Boogie, Breaks to Hip Hop + beyond.
