FABRICLIVE 99: DJ Q Launch, D Double E, Dub Phizix & Strategy.
DJ Q comes to Farringdon to celebrate the launch of his FABRICLIVE 99 album for our Lovebox after hours session. The acclaimed garage artist has been a staple at FABRICLIVE for a number of years, and his contribution to our mix series demonstrates his grasp of the UK’s garage, bass line and house scenes. He performs an extended 3-hour set with us, joined by one half of the Newham Generals outfit, D Double E. Also set to appear are Butterz signee Swindle and the specialist garage and dub duo, Chimpo & Trigga. Rounding off the bill is Jack Junior, who recently collaborated with Q on the release ‘Rock Wit U’, as well as rising radio talent, Jossy Mitsu.
Room Two heads on a drum & bass tip, showcasing a broad range of the sound’s subgenres. Exit affiliates Dub Phizix & Strategy bring their distinct juke-influenced style, Metalheadz champion Commix returns with his high-charged sample-based sound, while masters of emotive liquid Technimatic also join. Japanese favourite and signee to the leading Good Looking imprint brings a touch of soul to the space, while FABRICLIVE regular Skankandbass rounds off the bill. Stamina MC and MC Texas take on hosting duties for the night.
