Your SLST host JAZZHEADCHRONIC welcoming a collective of some of the UK’s leading funk, soul and eclectic vinyl slinging turntablists to the decks of The CLF Art Cafe.
THE ALLERGIES (DJ Set) joining UK & World DMC Champion MR THING & mighty exponent of the good time groove DJ KEITH LAWRENCE to present year 2 of a ‘South London Soul Train These Are The Breaks Special’. Celebrating and representing the much ‘sampled’ original sounds of funk, soul, jazz & disco that paved the way for and are the cornerstones / foundations of the musical movements and sounds of Hip Hop, Trip Hop, Breakbeat, Big Beat, Acid Jazz, Jungle + so much more. Part of our on-going mission to seriously funk you upah!
Then on LEVEL 2 – Let the Funk Mercilessly Flow as your 2nd floor hosts SNOWBOY & IAN WRIGHT drop the absolute finest on 45 direct to the torchlit dancefloor. Cue Explosion – time for another red hot dancefloor session in funked up soul.
LEVEL 3 – Time to enter THE REACH UP DISCO WONDERLAND hosted by The legendary DJ ANDY SMITH, NICK HALKES, CRISSY KYBOSH dropping 80’s boogie, disco and proto house, evoking the spirit and dipping into the soundtrack of legendary NYC clubs such as ‘Paradise Garage’ & ‘Studio 54′.
The SLST These Are The Breaks Special 4 Floor Line up completed in the RYE WAX BASEMENT – THE HAWAIIAN BOP TRIP. Your retrolicious host RICHIO SUZUKI joined by Belgium 45 damagers The OUT-A-SIGHT ALLSTARS and OSCAR ROMP take you on an epic strictly retrolicious Rock & Roll, 50’s R N’ B, 60’s Soul & Motown, Vintage Ska & Latin journey from the love side.
