There are murmurs on the scene of a new concept coming to London clubland. A concept which will grow, evolve and change organically with each event. A concept which brings high calibre lineups and a warm vibe.
On Saturday 14th April “EVOLVE” are proud to present the launch of their first exciting event at London’s Cable club.
Helping them raise the roof with the assistance of Cable’s mighty soundsystem will be France’s Alexkid. This multi instrumentalist, composer, remix artist, DJ and sound engineer has set on a formidable trajectory since Laurent Garnier invited him to put out his debut single, ‘Playground’, in 1997. An electronic missionary, Alexkid has taken his epic live arrangements and inventive DJ sets to the four corners of the map and everywhere in between, After ending five years of residency in Berlin’s Weekend club, he has finally moved to the German capital where he’s now set his base at Water-gate club. Also in demand as a remix artist, he has lent remixes to everyone from Damian Lazarus to Phonique, Crookers to Spencer Parker to Nina Kraviz, With a collaboration with Berlin minimal troupe M.A.N.D.Y in the works, latest releases and remixes on Rekids, Cadenza, Cabin Fever and NRK, Alex takes no rest. Also helping the launch go with a bang will be Tom Demac from Murmur, Libe*Detail and Hypercolour Records. Tom will be enhancing your audio experience by bringing a Live Set to the table. Gathering inspiration from Detroit Techno, as well as influxes of Electronica, Dub and Jazz, Tom Demac writes and records live electronic music from the soul. He has developed his own characteristic sound based on a philosophy of creating music aimed at the dance-floor, but melodic enough to appreciate at home in the living room. We also welcome Rainer to the bursting line-up… The past 2 years have seen him play internationally in some of the world’s most known clubs including Fabric in London, and Watergate in Berlin. Alongside Rainer will be Spanish DJ, Producer and owner of London promotion “Cartuli’s Day” Unai Trotti. Unai’s talent is revealed in both production and DJ sets… Always giving himself entirely to the audience, his mixes are a reflection of his personality: dynamic groovy, deep and intense. Unai’s style goes from tech-house to techno to more melodic & deep sounds, passing by minimal & dub. In constant connection with the crowd, Unai always creates a specific feeling on the dancefloor and the only thing you can do while he is on the decks is dance. Now one of the residents of Evolve. He also holds esidences at Cartuli’s Day and Jaded also has been invited to perform at clubs like Fabric, Cable, Cafe 1001, Ministry of Sound, Egg plus more. Unai’s will also be joined by Madrid’s Roberto Amo. Part of the established Spanish label Oh!MyGod Recordings, he has also had the opportunity to share the booth at festivals and clubs with names like Sven vath, Gaiser, Matthias Tanzmann, Daniel Dreier or Paul Ritch to name just a few.
If this wasn’t enough to wet your appetite – aural support on the night also comes in the form of Luna Records and Phobic Records’ Dan Farserelli… Whether spinning deep house, techno or minimal, Dan Farserelli’s style of hypnotising loops, stripped back drums and subby blines always shines through. The past year has seen him release on L as well as gracing the turntables at Room 1 at Fabric. And last but not least we also welcome Twisted Society’s Joseph Onik to the fold.
