Your dancefloor tenderising host with the absolute most JAZZHEADCHRONIC + SPESH GUEST DJ joined by blistering Brass Hop Band, The Mighty AFROCLUSTER [Live] + so much more across 4 floors at The CLF Art Cafe.
AFROCLUSTER:
Afro Cluster are a Cardiff based band citing Fela Kuti, Snarky Puppy, Ozomatli, The Roots & Talking Heads amongst their influences. Together with front man MC Skunkadelic, they meld authentic sounds and rhythms of afro-funk and hip-hop with impassioned, politically conscious lyrics atop bold melodies, afro-beat aural acrobatics, rich harmonies and complex rhythms + we can’t wait to welcome them to the SLST Live stage.
Then on Level 2. Expect the FUNK, The whole FUNK and nothing but the FUNK as Legendary 45 DJs SNOWBOY and IAN WRIGHT load the turntables and let loose with an all night barrage of hand picked dance floor classics and rare vinyl nastiness all night long. Hell to the yeah, Strictly on the good foot!
Level 3 – We leave you in the more than capable hands of BOCA 45 & DJ WOODY who’ll be celebrating the launch of their new LP with a very special eclectic set featuring the tastiest of joints and jams from the album alongside a white hot pallet load of vinyl dropped without mercy, til you can’t take it no moh!
The SLST 4 Floor Line up completed in the Rye Wax basement with REACH UP DISCO WONDERLAND hosted by The legendary DJ ANDY SMITH + Special guests dropping 80’s boogie, disco and proto house, evoking the spirit and dipping into the soundtrack of legendary NYC clubs such as ‘Paradise Garage’ & Studio 54.
Runs 10pm – 5am on the 1st, 2nd + 3rd Sat of each month at The CLF + beyond / £5/7/10/13 Adv from RA or £13 OTD.
