Fri May 05 – DISCO FREAKS proudly celebrates 40 Years of Legendary NYC club Studio 54 with a 7 hour Disco marathon at The CLF Art Cafe. A no holds barred – heavyweight sonic Disco adventure where we gonna seriously party like it’s 1977.
At the controls and exploring the sound and legacy of Studio 54 founder Steve Rubell + Ian Shrager and S54 residents like Nicky Siano, Richie Kaczor come DISCO FREAKS. Revelling in a euphoric strictly vinyl journey through the sounds of DISCO, DISCO and more DISCO. Diana Ross to Chic via Loleatta Holloway and Dan Hartman, Evelyne Champagne King to Change via Blondie.
Lest we forget the sounds of the numerous Live acts who performed at Studio 54 –
Grace Jones to Donna Summer, Stevie Wonder, James Brown, Gloria Gaynor, Sylvester, Amii Stewart, Stephanie Mills, The Ritchie Family, Jocelyn Brown, Cheryl Lynn, Jean Carne and Linda Clifford.
