Tom Chubb is a familiar face on the London club circuit having played for some of London’s biggest promoters at venues such as Ministry of Sound, Turnmills, Pacha, Egg, The White House, Bar Rumba and many more. He has held residencies worldwide including London, Abu Dhabi, and Dubai for leading international promoters including Kinky Malinki and MustHaveSoul and promoted a number of successful events.
He started DJ-ing in 1994 and played his first club in Dubai two years later, returning the following year for 6 weeks playing weekly at The Lodge and Cyclone. Back in the UK, he started a residency at The Mansion House (formerly Sterns) for over 2 years which was one of the most popular venues on the South Coast. Tom began receiving bookings all over the South East at The Manor, The Empire, The Ocean Rooms, Rutherfords, The Q Club and many more.
In 2003 he started breaking into London playing at several bars, leading to a residency at The Rhythm Factory and several appearances at the infamous after-hours party, Soda at Madame Jo Jo’s.
In 1999 Tom started Plain & Simple which led to him promoting his own events at Ministry of Sound (Plain & Simple & G-Club Live), Turnmills (G-Club Live) and The Glasshouse (Work Experience) before starting a monthly night called La Nuit at The White House in Clapham for 9 months as well as the monthly G-Club Live event at The Vibe Bar for nearly 3 years.
La Nuit brought successful DJs and Producers to a Thursday night in an intimate venue including Spencer Parker, Richard Earnshaw and Gerald (G-Club) Elms. In recent years, his success has continued with appearances in Ibiza, Dubai, Thailand, Poland, Spain, Greece, Lebanon, twice at the legendary Southport Weekender and 5 times in a row on New Years Eve at The White House.
In 2011, Tom moved to Dubai and made his mark playing at the best venues in the City and Abu Dhabi including 360, Nasimi, Monte Carlo Beach Club and many more.
2013 saw the launch of Plain & Simple in Dubai with a series of events at The Deck.
More events are planned for 2014 so watch this space as you’ll hear it here first… 😉
Having DJ-ed for more than 20 years, Tom’s style adapts to the crowd he’s playing to, so you can expect anything from classic Soulful House & Garage to some Deep House & Nu Disco, often throwing in a few of his own tracks and edits.
