No Sancho or Good Times this Carnival, The Date is the way forward!

It seems an odd situation not having Sancho Panza and Good Times at Notting Hill Carnival this weekend but there are a host of house music parties that will offer an enormous amount of underground and international talent that will stand tall and fill those empty dancing shoes for the final long weekend of the year.

For me, the stand out party is at the amazing Loft Studios from The Date. Taking place Sunday from 6pm, The Date pulls out a line up which is arguably its biggest in its two year history. I say arguably as they have already had Frankie Knuckles, Danny Krivit, Tony Humphries, Greg Wilson, Karizma and more behind the decks. On this occasion though they run three rooms of House, Disco and Balearic with Mike Huckaby, DJ Spen, Jimpster, Rahaan, Phil Asher, Stuart Patterson, a revitalised Nancy Noise and load more all on the line up. These parties are always ticket in advance only so check out all the information and ticket link HERE on our listings page.

There are plenty other parties over the weekend to so here is my choices for Saturday and Monday-

It’s difficult to bypass any party that books Dennis Ferrer so Saturdays choice is the Troupe party at Egg. Add Hannah Wants and the exciting Applebottom to the DJs for this day/night terrace and afterparty and you know this will be one serious dancefloor workout. Tickets and info HERE

Monday, West Side Story and Paradise 45 join forces for what is now a bit of a carnival weekend institution at the Mason’s Arms, again right near the carnival itself. Running for 12 hours from 2pm and with DJs Darren Emerson, Severino, Ghetto Funk Allstars, Terry Farley, Hannah Holland, Guy Williams, Barry Ashworth and more passing through, this is simply the perfect end to a mental weekend.
