Hive Audio have released plenty of big tunes in their time, but this new two track EP from young Swiss producer Jimi Jules and established house head Oliver $ might just be their biggest yet. Both tracks are standout affairs with bold drums and catchy samples, and are designed fully with the sweatiest of dancefloors in mind.
First up is the scorching and sample heavy offering that is Soggy Cereal. The production jumps out of the speakers, the vocal samples get you right in the heart and the drums drive you to infinity. It’s a catchy track, for sure. Earl on the other hand bounces and shuffles with meaty percussive clunks and stabbed chords. Some party starting vocals and white noises releases bring plenty of tension to the fray and close out what is an essential EP for fans of fun and functional house music.
