Good things come to those who wait, as Guinness has harped at us in the past. We agree, and so were pretty happy when word of a new imprint based here in our home city arrived.

Regular readers may recognise CONSTRUCT from our pages in the past.  Or not, depending on how good your memory is. A DJ agency representing the likes of Howie B, Arnaldo, Scott Grooves, Krysko and Sub Club’s Harri, the name has also been put to soirees in London and Manchester, along with a podcast series of significant repute that has seen the likes of Melodic Records boss David Cooper, Claremont 56 man Paul Murphy and prolific dance music journalist Philip Sherburne make contributions.

In addition to all that, the organisation in question has also slowly been preparing to launch a new record label of the same name, and will finally be ready to do so next month, kicking off with cuts from some of our favourite artists, namely Swayzak and Richard Davis, who drop Shut Me Down on 9th December. Better yet, it comes with remixes from Berlin-based Canadian Hreno, known for work on Souvenir and more recently Vakant, alongside his fellow countryman The Mole, who was behind one of our favourite LPs of 2013 thus far, Caregiver. Take a listen to snippets from the forthcoming release below; we’ll be passing judgement closer to the time.
