Booka Shade have hidden themselves away from the limelight as of late whilst working on their latest studio album, however this passed weekend saw them venture over to London’s stalwart venue Egg club for special DJ performance.
Tonight the duo played for Liverpool’s famous brand Circus, headed by the main man himself Yousef who portrayed a main room thumper, chugging out the finest from his own imprint Circus Recordings. The Liverpudlian blended some raw and acid tinged techno upon the faithful onlookers and warmed it perfectly up for the main acts of the evening. Get Physical’s big hitters who will release their new album this Autumn kept the momentum flowing from the get go with some epic drops and breaks which sent the crowd into a frenzy. Even allowing a couple of classics to crop up in their illustrious set.
The Basement was met by Uto Karem who had the audience rocking for the three hour duration. It was safe to say the crowd certainly played their part and where in complete amazement with the quality of music punching through the stackers.
Egg has been on fine form this summer and it was great to see a huge soiree like this step into the forefront.
