Return of The Hydra

After last years string of successful showcases, The Hydra returns to our fair city.  Broken & Uneven’s ‘party for a nightclub that doesn’t exist’ will once again – like an inebriated hermit crab – be occupying a variety of innovative spaces around London, backed by an armada of unholy talent.

Last year saw collectives Ostgut Ton, Deviation, Innervisions, Bleep and Workshop play out across the city. 2013 will break new boundaries, cramming 18 mammoth events between now and the new year.

The series kicks off with an epic Bank Holiday double header. Prepare yourself for a 12 hour slice of Detroit Techno from Blueprint, held at  Brixton’s Electric. This will feature a live set from the pioneering Motor City outfit, Underground Resistance – a rare treat not to be missed.  Joining them will be M-Plant founder Robert Hood, Blueprint founder Samuel Kerridge, resident James Ruskin plus hometown hero Jeff Mills.

The following evenings revelry takes place at Village Underground, with the Frankfurt‐based ‘Running Back’. This’ll be a Hydra debut for the labels mysterious Tiger & Woods, who’ll be pumping a tasty blend of disco edits, think ‘Gin Nation’. Label boss Gerd Janson will also be on hand, as will John Talabot, who’ll be making a special guest appearance. Expect floor filling house and disco obscurities so good they could raise the dead. Fist PUMPING mandatory.
