Wisdom of a glove is getting huge props from the masses…

Isn’t the season just flowing with anticipation, each respected event on the Island is bustling with newcomers, veterans of the clubbing world and fresh artists that have been wowing their onlooking audiences. That said, none have been more publicised than Guy Gerbers Wisdom of a Glove. The Supplement Facts front man has taken everything from the weird and wonderful decor, to his burlesque inspired dancers and turned what once was a VIP orientated club into a stalwart venue for the underground clientele.

This past week saw Desolat owner Martin Buttrich and Matt Tolfrey join the fray alongside Guy. Matt always comes prepared with some bombs in his locker and the adorning crowd really vibed off his blend of subtle bass and melodic drops. However for me it was always going to be a Martin Buttirch show, the German has been one of the centre pieces in live dance music for over a decade and is one of the major factors in the rise of Loco Dice. That alone is a feat in itself. His elements of surprise are always a talking point and the crowd here just really fell for his creativity behind the booth.

Of course we can’t forget Guy, who as always plays his deep cuts to perfection and is always portraying energy behind the decks. Some older tracks mixed with some raw new slabs from his label really took the crowd by storm.

Lets not forget that Pacha has really worked hard to step out of the VIP limelight and push itself with the house and techno heavyweights like Amnesia, Sankeys and Space. If this is anything to go by then by the end of the summer they will be in that same bracket.

Long may it continue.
