5 Reasons To Go To Secretsundaze, Again And Again.

SS_May_Bank_Holiday

Not content with stealing your hearts with their opening Bank Holiday bash (5th May), word is Secretsundaze plans to commandeer the second too. Greedy! If they weren’t so damn good, we’d almost laugh at the sheer audacity.

Renowned for their epic party vibes, the boys at Secretsundaze have it nailed. With over a decade of experience in the field, School friends James Priestly and Giles Smith have taken the party across the world with regular sessions at Panorama Bar, to Ibiza and even as far as New York and Japan. Most famous for its legendary summer time Sunday parties, they have attracted some of worlds finest House and Techno DJ’s; Carl Craig, Ricardo Villalobos, Kenny Larkin, Efdemin, Cassy and Chez Damier to name but a few.

But just in case you’re still umming and arring, here are five reasons to say YES to a SECOND Secretsundayz bank holiday takeover.

#1.THE VENUE:Oval Space is an evolving multi-use arts and events space based in the heart of Bethnal Green in East London with stunning views over the gas holders to the rear” Now, i’ve never, ever heard GAS HOLDERS described as a stunning view, but I must admit, it does look rather pretty at sunset. Brand spanking new and incredibly impressive, this venue boasts the professional feel of a fully licensed venue, with the blank canvas feel of a warehouse.  Don’t forget your sunglasses, full width windows mean this party will be hosted in natural Spring daylight. Oval Space also comes equipped with two terraces, perfect for the outdoor Secretsundaze vibe.

Pretty, pretty for a coupla' Gas holders.

#2. THE HEADLINER: Only one of the most influential of influentials in the legendary house of Berghain; Secretsundaze welcomes House and Techno master Nick Höppner, resident DJ, label manager and “generally a man of great taste and influence.” Well I don’t know about you, but I’m certainly feeling under the influence.

Influential, don't you know.

Influential, don’t you know.

#3. THE LEGEND: Secretsundaze have been honing their party skills for over ten years now. They are sharp, like Ninjas’. They’re the masters of hedonistic, rave-tastic, Techno fueled afternoon sessions; so if grinding your body with strangers, to the sickest beats in all of London sounds like your cup of tea, then Secretsundaze is calling yooouuuu.

#4. THE OTHERS: Second up is one of the most highly rated live acts in the world, This is a man who loves what he does and isn’t afraid to show it. The Bulgarian-born producer has been making waves for some time with his dynamic, high-energy acid-infused sound, but its roots firmly planted in Chicago and Detroit House. KiNK was voted 5th in Resident Advisor’s Top 20 Live Acts of 2012 poll in December. He’ll be bringing a powerful hit of energy and enthusiasm to the party.

Following him will be rising star and cutting-edge talent, Joey Anderson. This will be the London debut for this Jersey native, and with a string of great releases behind him, this looks set to be his biggest year yet. Joey can cover the most abstract Techno, right through to more traditional soulful New York vibes.

Completing the lineup are two of the finest residents in town, James Priestley and Giles Smith. This pair always ensure the party opens and closes in the most glorious style.

#5. THE MOTHERLICKIN’ BBQ: Oval Space will be laying on a mouthwatering BBQ, with meat supplied from The Ginger Pig butcher. This is probably the happiest sausage you’ll ever eat. These pigs dine on the finest organic swill and happily roam the Yorkshire Moors. They are massaged on a daily basis, and when it’s time to go to piggy heaven, they are gently smothered with a feather pillow. But seriously, this is some seriously ethical and seriously TASTY BBQ. Get involved. For real.

Happy.
