Below began life as an illegal warehouse rave, a gathering of friends and an excuse to warm up grey old Brum with some Ibiza Summer vibes. Fast forward eight years and gone are the days of selling tickets through eBay and spending all the money on drugs, the Below team have grown to be a professional, well adjusted and highly successful brand. Staying true to their roots and keeping it entirely real, one thing is certain, Below will never lose its soul. This is a party for the people, by the people.
Now coming into its 8th year the team are preparing for their most ambitious soiree yet. Spread across three different venues the event will utilize some of The Rainbow’s most unique spaces. The celebrations open on May the 4th at the Rainbow Warehouse, Arena and in the Rainbow Courtyard. The line up is basically a musical wet dream for co founders Adam Shelton and Lee McDonald, and why not? Its their bloody Birthday! Revelers can look forward to an incredibly special live PA from the legendary voice of Inner City, plus sets from House gangster DJ Sneak, Techno innovator Derrick May, New York House star Todd Terry, plus Kevin Saunderson, Mr C and of course Lord Adam Shelton himself. This is set to be a birthday celebration of EPIC proportion. 
After this things will casually disintegrate into an old school exercise in hardcore. After party vibes will follow suit at the Rainbow Warehouse where back to back sets from Adam Shelton and Alex Arnount, and Frenchy and Tristan da Cunha will have you cavorting like wild animals until the wee hours. From here we take a step into another dimension, back into the original rave space, the hallowed Rainbow courtyard. Everything after this will be a pure, unadulterated celebration of all that is debaucherous and ravey. These hours are reserved for the elite of the hardcore and the beastliest of beasts. Finishing it all off in style with a fine selection of talent, prepare yourself for sets from Paranoid London, Jef K, H Foundation, Bloody Mary, Le Loup, and Tom Craven. Welcome to the tweaking hour. Expect visions of wild abandon.
