Round Table Knights & Animal Trainer – Animal Knights EP
The Round Table Knights are an inimitable duo with a quirky house sound. Here they team up with another similarly minded duo Animal Trainer for an EP on Hive Audio. Already picking up support from the likes of Huxley and Acid Pauli, a-side ‘Pique’ is a deep, slinky slice of house with charming, innocent melodies and plenty of darting disco dazzle in the shiny synths.
On the flip, ‘Kalmuk’ is more kinetic and percussive, with ticking hits and synth stabs imbuing the track with lots of pent up energy,. Keeping things being too manic though are the warm chords which swill in the background and tie everything together as well as some trilling strings which bring to mind a some spring like mountain scene, Both pairs have their own great styles but together Round Table Knights and Animal Trainer are even more impressive.
