Sample & Motion Boxing Day Special
After selling out Digital back in April with Art Department, Tale of Us and wAFF, Motion & Sample join with Digital again for a Boxing Day Special. Sample have had a busy summer in Ibiza, bringing guests like Matt Tolfrey and Richy Ahmed to Savannahs, whilst last month Motion teamed up with Rubix to sell out Digital with Lee Foss and co.
Headlining this party is one of the best live acts in the world, Guti. The talented South American was voted 9th in R.A recent live poll and will be the first live act to play at either Motion or Sample. A key member of Loco Dice’s Desolat, Guti’s special jazz and Latin infused house music has also graced Crosstown Rebels, Wolf & Lamb, Supplement Facts, Raum..Musik, Cécille, Cadenza and VIVa MUSiC.
As a firm favorite of both Sample and Motion, Darius Syrossian is next on the bill. His residency for VIVa Warriors at Sankeys Ibiza has been one of the highlights of the season for many in 2012, culminating in Jamie Jones inviting him to play at DC10 for the closing party of Paradise. One of the most prolific producers at the moment, from his tracks being included on Adam Beyer’s Cocoon Heroes mix, Heidi’s Jackathon compilation and DJ Sneak actually building his fabric 62 mix around Darius’s remix of Hector Couto’s ‘Creampie’, not to mention the VIVa MUSiC mix complication which included the massive ‘Freaky D’. Recent smashes include ‘My Side Project’ which was hammered by the likes of Jamie Jones and Richy Ahmed and lead to Darius’s first release on Hot Creations, his remix of Freaks ‘Black Shoes White Socks’. Absolutely buzzing for him to step up to Digital’s main room.
There is a strong VIVa MUSic theme to this party as our next guests is one of labels residents Leon. The Italian has been making major waves in the house scene since 2009, kicking thing off with Steve Lawler’s VIVa MUSiC and going on to release on Cecille, Saved and Rebirth. His current new project with Toky called Superhero is getting big support from Damian Lazarus to Davide Squillace to Lee Curtis. He is starting his own in 2013 called D-FLOOR RECORDS alongside Pirupa and NICE7. Leon played Marco Carlos’s huge Music One party at Amnesia three times this summer and has been playing various Music On parties with the techno don around the world since, excited to see what he brings to Digital.
