Crazy P is coming to London town this Saturday at a secret location in East London! With support from Mario Basanov, PBR Streetgang, Felix Dickinson, Bad Passion Project and Lee M Kelsall.
Crazy P return to London for their first show since selling out Koko on March 17th. ‘A Night On Earth’ sees them joined by a delightful cast of musical talent old and new, for a secret warehouse party which promises to be out of this world. Since releasing their fifth and finest album ‘When We On’ in September last year ,which happened to be iTunes’ biggest selling dance album of 2011, the band’s feet haven’t touched the ground whilst touring the world extensively and bringing the love to all corners of the globe. This is the first chance of 2012 to see them play in London as the CRAZY P Soundsystem where they will deliver new material alongside old classics in addition to their favourite records.
In support they have Lithuanian wonder producer MARIO BASANOV who recently remixed their hit single ‘Changes’ on 2020Vision last month to devastating effect, notching up over 25,000 plays on soundcloud in the first week of it’s release. Whether it be as his collective alias ‘Mario & Vidis’ or simply as Mario himself, Basanov is already staking a clame to be 2012’s best house music producer and breakthrough DJ. His equally as impressive latest release ‘We Are Child Of Love’ on Needwant Records has already deservedly racked up an incredible 100,000 views on YouTube, in short he’s a killer addition to this special Crazy P show.
Fellow 2020Vision artists PBR STREETGANG aka Bonar Bradberry and Tom Thorpe, who are also signed to Jamie Jones’ Hot Creations imprint, are one of the most interesting and underrated collaborations in club land that has earned them respect across the dance music spectrum, from Greg Wilson to Andrew Weatherall and Ralph Lawson. Their unique musical approach threads paradise garage disco to deep groovy house and techno seamlessly, never failing to connect with the crowd.
FELIX DICKINSON has been DJing and producing for nearly 20 years, yet because of his many monikers people might believe they’re not totally familiar with his sound. Yet upon closer inspection most discerning DJs and music fans alike, realise they own at least one of his records. His tracks have been licensed on mixes by The Unabombers, Chicken Lips, The Glimmers and Rub’n’Tug, and had support from the likes of dance music legends DJ Harvey, Maurice Fulton, the Idjut Boys and Daniele Baldelli.
The BAD PASSION PROJECT is a collective of musicians, djs and promoters run by Dan Mitchell, Andy Bainbridge and Chris Stoker, whose underground disco parties have been the talk of East London. They complete this imposing line-up which will have many a house and disco fan alike licking his lips with anticipation.
All this takes place in a secret East London warehouse which will be announced to ticket buyers in the week leading up to the show. Rest assured the venue, sound and production will be next level as you’d come to expect from a Crazy P show. Tickets are available now from Resident Advisor. See you on Saturday June 9th!
