Krush’s next boutique session takes place on Saturday May 19th at a secret London warehouse and is headlined by deep house dons Ame and underground pop champs Clockwork. It’s been a hell of a year for Krush and they are still recovering from what was an amazing birthday party, but now continue apace with two more great bookings.
Ground-breaking, pioneering, exquisite, phenomenal or simply one of the most inspiring electronic music act of the new millennium; that’s what Âme are. The German duo is responsible for some of Sonar Kollektiv’s and Innervisions’ best selling releases and a long array of brilliant remixes. In fact they are (with Dixon and Henrik Schwarz) the driving forces behind Berlin-based conceptual label, Innervisions. From sound tracking ‘The cabinet of Dr. Caligari’ (for the Ron Arad installation at the Round House) to headlining leading festivals or club nights in Ibiza and the world, Ame have set the bar really high for the following generations.
Clockwork are an Italian duo who have released their own sultry and sexy brand of vocal heavy, pop tinged house and disco on labels like Hot Creations. There debut saw them play and produce a dark, funky breed of disco which noticeably got deeper and deeper in mood trying to combine those sounds to a more techno oriented piece of work. Their recent and unreleased work such as: a No.19 EP for Jonny White’s prestigious label, Ali Love’s Different Morals remix on Southern Fried Records, DJ T’s Get Physical remix and their remix for Avatism on Souvenir Records has demonstrated musical versatility and innovation aiming to reach and explore new grounds pushing the boundaries further and further each time. Now, they play across the world at all the top clubs and festivals and so are welcome guests tonight.
At the same time, resident Nikos – who is steadily acquiring a name for himself given how skilfully he is able to deliver 5 hour sets in one night without every tying to outshine the headliners as so many other resident DJs do today – also spins.
To date, not a single Krush has ended without the crowd starting a long applause and demonstrating their unquenched hunger for more. It’s simply one of the most unconventional nights in London but you must find that out on your own terms… So, make yourselves at home!
