News from camp Bedrock- Miami album and collaborations LP

John Digweed’s decade spanning, benchmark setting imprint launches a new platform this week in the shape of Collaborations. The first instalment, which arrived yesterday, sees Jimmy Van M and Oliver Lieb working together, melding tracks from some of the finer names on today’s production circuit.

The pair’s mix- which comes under the joint moniker of The Audible Suspects- includes tracks and remixes by techno stalwarts such as Green Velvet, Phil Kieran, and Joel Mull, alongside rising stars like Thomas Muller (whose work on BPitch Control has been turning plenty of heads). The result is a compilation that’s as driving as it is intelligent.

That’s not all, either. Bedrock has also just announced a brand new Underground Sound of Miami 10-track compilation set to be made available in DJ-friendly unmixed format on CD and digital. This time round it’s more of an imprint showcase, with a host of stellar label mates contributing exclusive work to the collection- not least Robert Babicz, Guy J, Wehbba, Dosem, and Stelios Vassiloudis. There’s a bit longer here too, with a release date currently set for March 19th, though it should be well worth our patience when it finally drops. Click here for more details.
