Well, where do i start..  Ive been listening to a lot of house/tech house recently and was beginning to get a bit despondent with it all until i was lucky enough to receive a copy of the latest toolroom mix by John Dahlback. In one word, Amazing! I put it on my i-pod to listen to on the train on the way to work. Mix1 started of with soothing Deep melodic vocals, I was sure it was gonna be an after hours affair.. How wrong could i be. By track 4 the mix is pumping but still retains its soulful feel. Fat basslines, glorious heartwarming synths and it just got better and better.. By the time i walked into the office i was ready for a night out!  It set me up for the day and has instantly become my favourite morning mix this year, but that’s not to say it isn’t just as good at setting the night off to a good start. I have to say i had never been a massive JD fan but i am now! the man is a genius. His ability to blend tunes that could crossover into so many different styles is impressive to say the least. His music selection is world class. By lunchtime i was ready for a Mix2 and it didn’t disappoint.. Much more a peak time affair mix2 delivers some stomping hands in the air, eyes closed moments right through to some dirty twisted beats. A real journey which only highlights JD’s tune selection skills even more. If you have ever enjoyed any of the toolroom stuff or you are finding it hard to find inspirational music then go and buy this Cd, you wont be disappointed..
