Armin Van Buuren Brings A State Of Trance to London.

ARMIN VAN BUUREN. Those magical three words which sum up a trance phenomenon. His unwavering loyalty to melodic and uplifting electronic music, has culminated in Armin’s position as the people’s DJ. Hence four consecutive years as the world’s no.1 DJ – in DJ Mag’s Top 100, successive ‘Armin Only’ events selling out the world’s largest arenas and incredible DJ sets that have been immortalised by those lucky enough to attend.

But it’s through the legendary ‘A State Of Trance’ radio show is through which AvB is most revered. With over thirty million listeners, this global broadcast has now acquired biblical status. Last year’s Winter Music Conference saw ASOT bag the award for ‘Best Mix Radio Show’, a fifth time for this prestigious accolade. With the ASOT anniversary always cause for frenzied celebration, last year marked ‘ASOT 500’ and ten memorable years. The landmark Johannesburg gig became a worldwide Twitter trend, such was the mass outpouring of emotion.

So on to ASOT 550 which promises to be bigger and better and is set to take over Ministry of Sound on Thursday 1^st March. AvB specifically requested the Capital, having built an affinity with the London crowd. Firmly etched into the archives, Armin’s performance at The Gallery’s 2008 Ministry debut generated a thunderous atmosphere, furthermore his impassioned headline slot at South West Four 2010, further endeared him to Londoners. 2011 then saw Armin head to SW9, his name in lights at the distinctive Brixton Academy. Rising to the occasion, 4500 hedonists witnessed a theatrical AvB masterpiece. With Ministry recently awarded ‘Best Large Club’ in DJ Mag’s ‘Best Of British’ awards, ASOT will be given a new lease of life. That’s custom immersive LED visuals, multiple high density RGB lasers, mammoth CO2 cannons plus a sound system widely regarded as the best in the world.

All signs lead to this being Armin’s biggest UK show to date, joined by handpicked artists who have played a pivotal role in his ASOT legacy.
