UMEK & Christian Cambas ‘Heroes of the Night’

What does it sound like
Bouncy, electro-tipped, proggy edged vibes from UMEK & Christian Cambas, as if it was really going to be on any other tip. Two versions of the eponymous track are included here, an original which sets in a lock-jaw rhythm before a crescendo drops us off in a stadium sized breakdown of distorted electric guitars and looped vocal samples prepare to set things off again.
High energy no less, and the same can be said for the B-side. Flip it to find the slightly more oddball Pleasurekraft mix, which opts for pots and pans percussion, taking the lyrical accents from its source material and applying all kinds of vocoder trickery to create hooks galore.
Where would I dance to it?
Big rooms with big speakers.
What highlights can I expect to hear?
The Original Mix is a solid affair and should tick a few boxes for those that enjoy the latter-day Pryda school, combining rolling progressive ethics with funkier edges. In contrast the remix is arguably more contemporary with its wobbly and wonky touches, making for a tool suited to a wider variety of venues.
Why should I pay for it?
Two sides of plastic.
Where can I buy it?
