Shackleton set for Manchester’s Kraak New Year’s Eve

Following on from a couple of recently featured events at this particular up and coming North West haunt we’d like to take some time to point out the end of 2011, beginning of 2012 celebrations planned for the same venue. This time round things will take on a distinctly more broken beat flavour, with one of the most revered names in the contemporary bass scene making a rare appearance.

Open Plan will descend on Manchester’s Kraak Gallery this New Year’s Eve (December 31st to some), for a night of debauchery and dancing courtesy of the one and only Shackleton. The man immediately associated with the liked of Skull Disco and Fabric will be on hand to deliver what most probably will be a pretty memorable set.

Support on the night comes via local representatives from some of the city’s finest sessions, including jungle party Bad Man Ting, dubstep workout Subtitled, and Secret Wars, Open Plan’s not-for-profit offshoot (and the team behind videogame and heavy beat meet Bit Lord vs Megabyte, which is another soiree taking place on the same night- details of that are here). Tickets are priced at an infinitely reasonable £15 for the time being, though this will increase so those looking to commit now need only click here. Meanwhile, anyone looking for further information can check below, and then what lies on the end of this link.
