After keeping things four four focused for some time we decided to look further afield for the next set of recommendations. Good thing 24-year-old Jon-Eirik Boska was up for putting together a chart then.
The Tromso-based Norwegian first sprung up last May with his remix of Mental Overdrive’s ‘My House’ on Love OD Communications. Since then he’s been responsible for several other noteworthy alternative versions, not least for fellow countrymen like Velferd, Kaia, and Kohib, alongside several stand out productions of his own. Meanwhile, live bookings have seen the jazz drummer turned computer composer play shows at events like Club Transmediale Festival in Berlin and ℅ Pop Festival in Cologne. So then, with a distinctly nu-school flavour to say the least, here’s Boska selection of ten, and if you like what’s here and happen to be in Madrid for the Red Bull Music Academy you can catch the man in the flesh there.
