Something pretty special is going in Farringdon next week. Because what is possibly the country’s most-famous contemporary club will open its doors to welcome a suitably exclusive live show from one of the best band’s in the electronic business.
Death In Vegas make the kind of music that demands attention (and commands extensive critical praise). It’s dark, moody, emotive, uplifting, danceable, and completely original. It’s the kind of sound that somehow straddles psychedelic rock, minimal techno, dub, and plenty more seemingly disparate genres, throwing each into a sweaty melting pot, creating a potent concoction that, once heard, is rarely forgotten.
Needless to say, if you see these arrangements live in person the experience should stay with you for some time, and when they play FabricLive on Thursday, 22nd November you’ll have the opportunity to do just that. Joining them on the night will be the one and only Andrew Weatherall, with one half of the act, Richard Fearless, also in DJing in support alongside Stopmakingme. Ahead of that as it’s Friday those lovely people in charge of the venue sent us this mix from Mr Fearless, originally compiled for BBC 6 Music, yours to own and love by following these instructions, with more details about the date below…
