Electric Brixton is getting ready to officially open its doors on Saturday 24th September 2011 following major £1,000,000 face-lift. Formerly known as, The Fridge, and before that, The Ace, London’s newest state-of-the-art music venue combines outstanding sound and visuals with a luxurious interior that marks a defining new era in the Capital’s clubbing. Designed to deal with festival-sized productions and stadium set-ups, the venue also boasts an amazing stage with unsurpassed sightlines making it the perfect choice for both DJ and live music events.
For the Grand Opening on Saturday 24th September, Electric Brixton presents one a rather tasty line up bought to you by Lock N Load Events’ Get Loaded. Chicago’s legendary Felix da Housecat headlines in an exclusive UK performance alongside the head of International Gigalo Records DJ Hell. Supporting these two heavyweights comes Hannah Holland, JoJo De Freq, Tom Staar and fast-rising stars Keith & Supabeatz. As well as hosting the opening, Lock N Load will be hosting weekly Friday nights with their infamous Get Loaded brand, not a bad starter for a new venue.
A stellar diary of events follows the Grand Opening from October through to December ranging from live bands to an exciting array of club nights. Alongside Get Loaded who will be hosting weekly Friday nights, we’ve enlisted the talents of underground powerhouse Spectrum, who kick off their monthly residency on the 1st October with Japanese Popstars (live) and Jakwob. Elsewhere we welcome the mighty Get Physical on 15th October, where label head honcho’s M.A.N.D.Y present their new live show. Other highlights include DJ’s Flux Pavillion, Skism, Funtcase, Dogde & Fuski and promoters Propaganda, Masters of Soul, Kissy Sell Outs Turn It On Tour, Gilles Peterson + friends, and Stanton Sessions with the legendary Stanton Warriors.
