Ministry of Sound to release classic 1991 sets from Levan, Morales, Terry and more

You might have already heard about the rather momentous anniversary about to be marked at the world’s first superclub, and largest independent record label. And not least because of the competition we’re running for free headphones.

Now Ministry of Sound will no doubt add a little more fuel to the hype fire ahead of its double decade celebrations with the announcement that it has lovingly dusted down, digitally cleaned up, and painfully sourced the appropriate licensing for five classic sets from five defining house music pioneers. So that would be the legends Larry Levan, David Morales, Todd Terry, Studio 54 man Kenny Carpenter and MoS co-founder-turned-original resident, Justin Berkmann.

Sprawled across the expansive boxset you can find tracks from Robert Owens, Crystal Waters, Lil Louis, Inner City, Degrees of Motion, and Chez Damier, amongst other noteworthy names. Live & Remastered, as the pretty hard to resist package has been named, will drop on October 3rd, and should make for an essential addition to the collection of anyone who was there, or cares where there ever was. More details, pre-orders, and a full tracklisting can be found on the end of this link.
