Field day, which takes place on the 6th August at London’s Victoria park, is another fine example of a one day festival rave up in the capital. Bringing together a plethora of the cities promoters, including Eat Your Own Ears, Adventures In The Beetroot Field and Bugged Out, it promises to deliver the best in off the beaten track music for 20 odd thousand of the coolest of london-types, with a broad range of bands and DJ’s on offer across the differnt stages.
After Field Day stops, the after-parties start. You can see in Sunday at not one but two of Field Day carry-ons. XOYO opens it doors for one half of dubstep duo Magnetic Man – Benga – with MC Youngman, Roska, Benedict Bull and the Dollop DJs (doors open at 10pm), and just around the corner at Hearn Street Carpark is Field Day after-party No 2 with Kieran Hebden AKA Four Tet (DJ set), James Holden, Pearson Sound and Casper C holding it down til 5.30am.
