Cocoon prepares to celebrate almost 4015 days

The organisation will mark 11 years in the game next month with a double CD package. The second disc will be a mixed collection of 20 tracks from Sven Vath’s imprint, pieced together by newcomer Patrick Kunkel.

11 Years of Cocoon drops on May 6th, and also includes nine classics, reworked and reborn for the modern age courtesy of some impressive remixers. Visionquest offer up a new version of Dinky’s Acid In My Fridge, Tel Aviv’s biggest export Guy Gerber gets his Timing checked by Kollektiv Turmstrasse, and Drumcode’s man of the moment Paul Ritch provides an alternative reading of Tropical Lemons by 2000 And One. On top of that you’ve got Martin Buttrich’s Hunter seen through the eyes of Roman Flugel, Steve Rachmad changing Joel Mull’s Harmonautic String, and Diablo from Dubfire vs Olever Huntemann via Carlo Lio to name but a few. Check back for a review closer to the time.
