Planet E prepares to land in London

Carl Craig’s mighty imprint will celebrate 20 years of Deeetroit, in Britain’s capital this spring. Geographical queries to one side, the warehouse party style event looks pretty tasty if the current line up is anything to go off.

Taking over Ewer Street Car Park, SE1, on Saturday, March 5th, will be the head honcho himself, alongside Francois K, Radioslave, Paul Woolford, and Psycatron. More acts are expected to be announced closer to the event, which will no doubt sell out, so watch this and the usual spaces for more details. Tickets are already on sale at Resident Advisor, the only place you will be able to grab them right up until opening time.

If anyone’s unsure, Planet E Communications launched way back when Motor City was still the centre of this thing called techno, and embodied both the stylistic trends of the Michigan sound, and the forward thinking ethic that led to the genre’s development. In short, while being an outlet for mechanical music as was (and still is), it was also about pushing things forward. Two decades later and its catalogue boasts releases from luminaries like Gemini, Kenny Larkin, Kevin Saunderson and Martin Buttrich. Not bad really.
