Bedrock album for Marco Bailey

That’s right, some 20 years in the game and still enviably revered. So it makes sense that Belgium’s foremost four-four-head’s relationship with John Digweed’s imprint looks to be going from strength to strength.

Bedrock‘s as much of an institution as Bailey, and 2010 saw the producer and DJ’s first releases on the label see the light of day, or darkness of a record shop rack. Now it has been announced that come February Dragon Man will be released, a production album boasting two CDs- unmixed and mixed.

With a formidable back catalogue behind him, including tracks on his own Session Recordings and Carl Cox’s Intec, Bailey’s a fully fledged member of many a punter’s list of firm favourites. He also helped set up Pornographic Records as an outlet for unknown talent with Christian Varela, back when the last millennium hit, proving his heart is most definitely in the right place. Now he’s found a new home with Messrs Digweed and Muir, two fellas who maintain nice guy reputations while carrying torches for dark tunes and rolling rhythms, so things are looking promising for 2011.
