Legendary Gospel House Diva Susu Bobien graces the debut release from the brand new label of songwriter/producer Dewey Andrew, Diva Down Entertainment, with a monstrous Club Anthem titled ‘I Got My Pride’.  SuSu belt’s out spine tingling notes in a spectacular preacher style over a hot bed of funky, deep & soulful flavours with mixes from top house music lab-rats, Davidson Ospina, Sean Grasty and John Mateo.

Newark, New Jersey’s own SuSu Bobien is without a doubt one of the most prolific vocal divas in Gospel House Music.  SuSu’s first vocal recording was entitled ‘The Search Is Over’ with Bishop Jeff Banks and the Revival Temple Mass Choir in 1989.  She then became a member of the Harlem Gospel Singers performing and travelling worldwide with this famed group for over 15 years.  Fast forward to the late 1990’s when SuSu was introduced to the Gospel House Music scene, hooking up with B.O.P. and CeCe Rogers.  This began her initiation into the club world with tracks written by these producers entitled: ‘Another Story’ ‘He’ll Be There’, the UK No. 1 – ‘You Don’t Know’, ‘Thank You’ and ‘All Though Me’ leading her to instant Gospel House fame.  Over the last two decades, SuSu’s anointed stylised vocals have graced so many releases, some of which include:  “Can’t Keep It to Myself”, her first collaboration with Dewey Andrew ‘Set Free’, ‘Wondrous’, ‘99 & Half’, ‘You Bring Me Joy’ on labels such as Soundmen on Wax, FFRR, Defected, Strictly Rhythm, Purple Music, Peppermint Jam, Jellybean Soul, etc.  SuSu’s vocals have been remixed by the most elite producers in the industry.  Some of the producers/remixers that have laid hands on this Diva’s tracks are Junior Vasquez, CeCe Rogers, Tony Humphries, Little Louie Vega, Frankie Knuckles, Kevin Hedge, DJ Spen & The Muthafunkaz, Karizma, and a host of many others.

DJ/ Producers Davidson Ospina & Oscar P have been blowing people’s minds for the past 7 years with a collection of remixes that have established them as serious contenders to the NY underground crown.  The duo are often sought after for their Deep-Tech-Soul hybrid sound, showcased on their recent hit remix of Marvin Gaye’s ‘Sexual Healing’. Ospina remix  hits include the #1 Billboard chart-topping remix of Christina Aguilera’s “Ain’t No Other Man”, as well as reconstructions for Britney Spears, Backstreet Boys, & The Pet Shop Boys.  The Newest and most talked about music producer in House is Sean Grasty, one half of New York City’s Groove Addix is making major waves in Dance Music.  The Groove Addix first project featuring Annette Taylor entitled ‘Don’t Try to Win Me Back’ was quickly snatched up by Defected Records.  With soon to be released singles on Diva Down Entertainment (USA), Defected Records (UK), Slagg Records (USA), GKF Records (Italy) as well as co-production with David Penn (Urbana Records) and DJ Danny Clark (Solid Ground Recordings). John “Roc” Mateo is one half of the famous house duo Mateo & Matos with side-kick Eddie “E-Z” Matos. After several releases on their own Final Cut Records label, they went on to record for Oxygen Music Works, Henry Street, Nervous Records, Nite Grooves and Spiritual Life Music in the mid-1990s.  They have original productions and remixes on top labels such as King Street Sounds, Defected and Large Records.

2010 marks the launch of Dewey Andrew’s new entertainment company/record label Diva Down Entertainment.  DDE will focus mainly on Dewey’s original creations along with some collaborations. “I Got My Pride” from Susu Bobien marks the first release, with other hot cuts forthcoming including SuSu Bobien (‘Runnin’), Dawn Tallman (‘Almighty High’), Kenny Bobien (‘Just Like Fire’) and many other A-List Performers.  Additional artists that Dewey has written for are Inaya Day, Sandy B, Stephanie Cooke, Robin S, Ambrosia, Sharon Jones, Brenda Jones.
