Brand new Kings’ Cross venue Star of Kings is launching to the public on Friday 10th December. From the team behind the Star of Bethnal Green, the new venue is set become the leading light in the burgeoning Kings’ Cross music scene.
Hosting room one for this special launch night is Berlin-based record label Suol, with the astounding line up of Fritz Kalkbrenner, Trickski, Chipstick & Johnjon, and Zander VT.
Suol was founded by Chi-Thien Nguyen, John B, Muder and Nicole Grimm in 2010 and aims to release deep, grounded and organic music with great emotions. The label has become a caring home for artists such as Fritz Kalkbrenner, Till von Sein, Trickski, Tigerskin, Heiko Laux, Axel Bartsch, Kollektiv Turmstrasse, Hatikvah, Chopstick & Johnjon, who all feel at ease releasing their music due to Suol’s sophisticated musical continuity.
It is extremely rare for these guys to play in the UK or London, and Junkette is incredibly proud to bring the whole label collective over for this special night.
Headlining room 2 is the inimitable Bill Brewster. Director of the ‘DJ History’ website and a notable author, Brewster is most renowned for his ‘Low Life’ parties and is one of the music industry’s most influential figures.
Also on Junkette’s line up for room 2 is jozif, one of London most talked about DJs at the moment with releases for Wolf & Lamb and Infine, plus Reprise’s own The Big M.
A night so beautifully orchestrated as ‘Junkette’ will draw in music lovers from all over to whiteness a sound clash of epic proportions when Berlin meets London, make sure you book in advance to save disappointment.
Doors will be open from 10pm – 6am with ticket prices just £6 in advance or £8 on the door.
