2020 Soundsystem UK tour and live album

A veteran brand on the northern scene, 2020 is synonymous with more than a teenager’s cheap night in the park. We’re thinking fresh house cuts, deep grooves and warm basslines.

The label- 2020 Vision- is amongst the city of Leeds’ most valuable musical exports, and live the ‘Soundsystem is known for its musical prowess. The blend of jazz-quality technical drumming, years-on-the-scene mixing, synthesized sonic wizardry and broody basslines being difficult to ignore. So when Danny Ward, Simon ‘The Bays‘ Richmond, Fernando Pulichino, and Ralph Lawson take to the stage, it’s a special thing indeed.

Good news, then, that the outfit have just announced a string of UK dates, including warm up slots for Get Physical heroes Booka Shade. What’s more, November 11th sees the release of Live At Village Underground, an attractive collection of tracks including five hitherto unreleased cuts alongside several classic sounds.

They hit Fabric in London on November 20th, a venue that should provide the perfect sound and get the most out of the subtle nuances inherent in live music. It’s also the last performance on the tour, following shows in Leeds, Birmingham and Bristol. For more information, go to 2020, and for a taster see below…
