BLANK KANVAS
Private West London Venue
SUN 29TH AUG, 7pm-6am
After being named one of the best rave to hit our streets, 2 consecutive years running at the London Notting Hill Carnival, Blank Kanvas is very happy to take over this year at a private location very close to the 2010 carnival.
Working with some of the most underground agents in London, BLANK KANVAS will be teaming up with UPROCK RECORDINGS to present an amazing line up of dj’s from the cream of the underground dance, soul, el…ectronica, broken beats and nu-soul scene with support from Dego (4hero),Daz I kue & Alex Phountzi (Bugz in the Attic), Chad Jackson, Smokingroove, APKO Soundsystem.
We’ve also teamed up with Kristian von Hornsleth (www.hornsleth.com) to provide a pulsing, Funktion one fueled house music soundtrack to the live art pieces that will take shape and form over the night…
And as we’re a nice lot, we’ve decided to invite another one of our special friends along to host a 3rd room.
Did we mention there’s a cocktail bar plus a chill out room for all?
Cable Main Room: GORGE (8 Bit) BURNSKI (2020Vision, Trapez, infant Records, Morris/Audio) KID AM (Release Sustain / Brickbeat)…Cable Bar: MOUJ & TEVA (Alive) TOMMI & COLETTE DELALEZ (Supercool)
+ WE’VE JUST CONFIRMED an extra hour 4AM OPENING FOR THIS ONE.
…Still more excitement in the works for the August Bank Holiday Weekend. It’s the culmination of summer and a long weekend where most of us take more than our fair share of epic music. The finishing post will be a very special BANK HOLIDAY MONDAY JADED.
Finishing posts mean a proper celebration of all that has gone before; and the magician’s trick we hope to perform is to reset your rave clocks to zero with a party atmosphere and an audacious line up. To this end, we’re flying in 8 Bit records boss Gorge just to play Jaded. Heading things up alongside Gorge and joining us fresh from the Hotel Fusion Sunday nighter will be Burnski. His Hotel Fusion partner in crime will be Kid AM, who’ll be making his Jaded debut in the main room.
In our beloved bar, the party starts with a bonus hour from Raymundo, then Alive’s Mouj & Teva playing back to back, followed by a set from Supercool’s Tommi & Colette Delalez who stole our hearts with an amazing set last bank holiday.
Now we all know that Bank Holidays in London tend to be long, crazy, fun and party filled…..here at Cargo we have a weekend full of events that will keep you in the venue for the duration, but by the Monday good parties tend to be rather thin on the ground elsewhere (unless you fancy some dodgy basement with the casualties- no thanks!)
So praise be that Cargo is on hand as usual to provide the perfect finale to the long weekends festivities……..calling on some of our favorite local heroes to spin a set of their all time favorite records to celebrate another 3 day session in the worlds new club capital …..expect a clued up, super cool and very friendly crowd from the best promotions in town for an intimate wind down to cap things off for you nicely
As ever there will be great music, great food and amazing cocktails to ease you back into the working (booo) week……
So whether you have been working all weekend (heaven forbid!) or just cant get enough, come and join your friends to see things out in the best posibble style!
