Eeee oop! Rain rain go away don’t come back another day! Its bloody August for fecks sake! Right… Can anyone please tell me why I wake up with a different Lady GaGa record in my head like, EVERY morning?!! Its becoming odd esp when I haven’t even heard any of her stuff throughout the day! Answers on a postcard please – anyone who gets to them bottom of it will win a prize of a packet of weasel coffee

Other things that have been doing my head in this week are Channel 4 – why oh why oh WHY do they insist on playing their adverts to their new TV programmes like 4 times in every ad break?! (Ok maybe that’s a bit of an exaggeration but you get me) this new piece of shit programme called Pete Versus Life it might actually be very good, but the amount of times they have played the sodding advert now means I HATE it, the music and this bit at the end of the advert where he was crying have haunted my dreams for weeks!! (hmmm.. was Lady Gaga in the advert perhaps?) *sigh* I seem to remember a similar situation when they were showing Slum Dog Millionaire earlier in the year and had that fucking Florence and the Machine track over it – YEAH WE GET IT – ITS ON TV SOON! Fuckwits… Right.. Now that off my chest I will give you some nice fingys.

Nice fingy number 1 is Ben Gomori’s smashing tracks on Soundcloud: www.soundcloud.com/bengomori Pay particular attention to his mix of Corey Baker’s track as its just been released so available to buy on beatport CLICK HERE – aiiiiiitt!

Nice fingy number 2 is watching people DJing in their bedroom… Live! That sounds really pony but trust me you have to see this – very hard for me to write so you grasp it so just check it out INNIT

‘Freelove festival 2’

w/ Makam, Leif & Burnski

@ CARGO Kingsland Viaduct, 83 Rivington Street, London, EC2A 3AY

Sat 14 Aug, 12pm – 3am

Following on from the amazing party at Cargo on the 17th of July with Seb Zito, Gavin Herlihy and Jozif……..we are delighted to announce our return to the club on August 14th for the second instalment of our all day and all night mini summer festivals – Last time around was truly something special and we cant wait to back in there with you all!

And once more the party is entirely FREE ENTRY all day before 10:30pm!

Now we are firm believers in fact that ‘if it ain’t broke, you don’t fix it’ (check out the pics and vids from last time around and you’ll see what we mean!)…..so just like last time around we’ll be decking the terrace out in heaps of Woodstock/hippie inspired decor, inviting back all your SU favourites and generally giving you the opportunity to do it all over…..right across the club from the terrace to that incredible main hall……..

Once again the we have invited 3 super cool headline acts to join our residents and friends from some of London’s other great parties for a specially extended 16 hour love in…..rude!

Music will go on all day right across the venue – and just like at the last party, we will invite this months headliners Makam, Leif and Burnski to deliver us an ‘anything goes, no holds barred set’ out on the terrace during the day, before settling onto the mainstage later on in the night. This created a pretty magical vibe last time around……giving us all the chance to be part of something a bit special out in the sun during the late afternoon and early evening and the guys the opportunity to dig deeper into their bags and show us another aspect of their musical repertoire ahead of their peak time mainroom sets……one again expect everything from disco, deep to tech

Our StayinUP regulars are notorious for fully embracing our themes…..so whilst fancy dress is not by any means compulsory – you should definitely feel free to don the flares, flowers and peace signs for the day if you want to fully join in with the hippie house fun 🙂

Heres some videos from last time around:

Gavin herlihy in the main room

Saoirse Ryan (on the phone) and Gavin Herlihy (on the decks) out on the terrace

Finally and once again – The party will be free entry all day until 10:30pm

PLEASE NOTE – last time around the party got to capacity very quickly, resulting in 2 hour queues and ‘one in one out’ entry by 10pm……this being the case please try to arrive as early as possible – we want you all to make the most of the terrace party rather than standing around outside trying to blag your way in!!

20:20 VISION PRES:

12hr Shoreditch Special

@ Village Underground/ 54 Holywell Lane, Shoreditch, EC2A 3PQ

Sat 14 Aug, 6pm – 6am

Saturday 14th August, put the date in your diary. 2020Vision are in town with an immense line up of live acts and DJ’s playing at the amazing Village Underground venue. 2020Vision have been at the forefront of underground electronic music scene for 16 years now, and show no signs of stopping. They’ve continually ploughed their own furrow from their Leeds base, carving out a niche in deep and funky electronic music of the highest quality.

Anyone who’s been to one of their annual Sonar nights know the label know how to throw a good party, and this is guaranteed to be one of their best ever, with a line up and venue made for each other. Calling on the services of their contemporary stars, the label offers you a rare, live and intimate show from 2020Soundsystem plus sets from Crazy P Soundsystem, Motor City Drum Ensemble, Julien Chaptal, Simon Baker, and the boss himself, Ralph Lawson, plus dj support from Wolf+Lamb’s Jozif, Chris Halliday and Danny Raper.

The scene for all this is a venue as awesome in the day as it is at night. Village Underground is an expansive, raw space with skylight studded ceiling in a restored Victorian warehouse, set in the heart of East London’s Shoreditch. Making the most of the summer sun, this party kicks off nice and early giving the label the chance to showcase the full spectrum of its unique sound, in both a live and dj format. This will be the only chance to see 2020Soundsystem Live in London this year as they embark on a mini tour that takes in Sonar, Big Chill, Space Ibiza and The Garden Festival Croatia. It’s also a rare chance to see some of the cream of their globe trotting DJ and producer talent representing the label in one of London’s most breathtaking live music venues.

Please note, this event is strictly limited to an 700 capacity so please purchase your ticket early to avoid dissapointment!

JADED @ CABLE

20:20 VISION AFTERHOURS

Cable, Bermondsey St Tunnel, SE1 2EG

Sun 15 Aug, 4am – 1pm

This Sunday morning sees Jaded joined by Very Special Guests from the globally renound Leeds based 2020Vision label who will be making the short journey across the Thames after their 12hr Warehouse Special which is taking place at Shoreditch’s Village Underground venue. Saturday night sees 2020Vision’s biggest ever lineup assembled in their 16 year history so we’re expecting the carry on of all carry on’s down at Cable for 2020’s official afterhours party.

In support will be Ketoloco darlings Chris Halliday and Danny Raper who themselves are by no means unfamiliar to the ‘afterparty’ after they infamously built a club in their own Leeds student house (named DC:15 after Ibiza’s DC:10) which immediately became the official BacktoBasics Sunday morning afterparty and hosted the likes of Ralph Lawson, Paul Woolford and Burnski on a weekly basis. The party quickly became stuff of legend and now you can find successful Ketoloco parties taking place the length and breadth of the UK and Ibiza.

Look of for special 2020 giveaways on the night. Join us for what promises to be an epic morning.
